Trout Fishing the McKenzie
River
Oregon
Driftboat Fly Fishing Heaven...
Bubbling from beneath the lava beds the
McKenzie originates high in the Cascade Mountains and travels 85 miles to its
confluence with the Willamette. Dense Douglas Fir forests and one hundred
different colors of green accentuate your days float.
The McKenzie River offers a wealth of
enjoyment whether you're an experienced lifetime fisher or just learning the
art. What flies to use, where to put the fly, and how to keep your fly out of
the tree will all be covered by our eager, patient Oregon fishing guides. All
native fish caught during the Oregon fly fishing trip must be released, whether
they are rainbow, cutthroat or even bull trout. Hatchery fish which are
released in about 25 miles of the stream may be kept for your enjoyment at
lunch. Add these to a fresh green salad and dutch oven biscuits and we have a
regular gourmet lunch. You will be able to cast from our McKenzie River
driftboats, which are specially designed for whitewater, Oregon fly fishing,
and their comfortable ride.

Never having fly fished before I was very
hesitant, but after a couple days of patient instructions on the McKenzie River
with you, I was catching fish along with making new friends. Thanks.
